A miniature stereo flea-theatre.
Individual audience members were invited to sit at a table and view a scene from the Beckett play Waiting for Godot through a large magnifying glass. In the scene, two fleas (with sunflower seeds for bodies and garlic skin for wings) attached to coat hanger wire hovered around a tomato stalk. Once seated, we positioned ourselves to whisper Didi and Gogo’s lines into the viewer’s ears, manipulating the movements of the two flea’s at the same time.
